Women should carry wraps to cover their legs are it may short clothes may offend in some areas in Zanzibar. If you plan to ascend to Mount Kilimanjaro or Meru, bring thermal underwear, light layers, a sweater, a rain jacket, proper socks, and hiking boots but if you are missing some of those mentioned we can rent you.

Tanzania is generally a safe country to travel to, but do use common sense and keep an eye on your belongings. Don’t walk in the towns or cities at night-take a taxi instead. Carry a few kinds of stuff that you will be able to look after.
Travel with Children
We love kids and are super helpful to mothers so bring them in with you. However, most of the children’s needs are usually found in major town centers and cities.
Language
Swahili is the national language of the country. However, English is also widely spoken, but learning a few Swahili words will be useful and will be appreciated greatly by the locals.

Malaria is endemic but preventable so use insect repellant, cover up at sundown, sleep under mosquito nets, and take anti-malaria prophylactics as advised by your doctors. Drinks treated water only.
