Trekking Summary
Hiking on the “rooftop of Africa” is an epic adventure and a lifetime unforgettable experience for those who are prepared to take on a physical and mental challenge. This is a multi-day trek to significant altitude, led by experienced guides. You will need to be determined and resilient to face the sub-zero temperatures and the very thin air of the mountain peak. Tough, but truly rewarding, this challenge will leave you with an unforgettable experience- to last a lifetime. The Lemosho route is a bit challenging and much more scenic with multiple viewpoints of the glorious Kilimanjaro Mountain. Your mountain guide will unfold all the experiences and information needed at that particular time of the climb; this brings more interaction and ascending interest.
After a successful land and immigration clearance, you will meet your Mountain guide and drive to the accommodation place for dinner & an overnight stay.
Later on, you will be briefed about Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking tips, and get all the necessary gear collected and checked for your next day’s climbing trip.
On this day, you will head to the Marangu gate ready for the trekking experience. We will hike up to the Mandara hut at an elevation of 1860m to 2700m (6100ft to 8875ft). The scenic views and surroundings of the rain forests on the Mountain are a good energy boost for the climbing experience.
We will leave the rain forest, and ascend on the elevation of 2700m to 3700m (8875ft to 12,200ft) to the open moorland of the Horombo encampment. Mawenzi and Kibo Summits are another form of eye-catching view here at the heights of Mount Kilimanjaro
We will hike up to the elevation point of 3700m to 4700m (12,200ft to 15,500ft).
This most rewarding day begins with a night hike while the stars are watching, make it to the summit in the early sunrise, and descend to the Horombo hut for relaxation.
Elevation will be from 4700m to 5895m (15,500ft to 19,340ft).
Wind up your hiking trip by descending the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, to the Marangu gate, and get a certificate of recognition as a part of the reward for climbing Africa’s Tallest Mountain. Elevation will be 3700m to 1700m (12,200ft to 5,500ft)
Your mountain guide will drive you back to the accommodation place and prepare for another experience after discussing and agreeing.
While hiking Mount Kilimanjaro, you will face changing climates that may affect your trekking ability.
