After early breakfast in Arusha, begin your journey toward the Southern Serengeti plains, where the calving season peaks. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley and Ngorongoro highlands with picnic lunch along the way. Arrive in Ndutu by afternoon and go for a short game drive to settle into the rhythm of the wild. The plains are alive with movement, massive herds, newborn calves finding their footing, and predators nearby. Spend the night in a comfortable tented camp close to the action.
Overnight: Heritage Camps
Start early with a sunrise game drive when the wild is most active. This is calving season in full swing: thousands of wildebeest calves born daily, wobbly and new, watched by predators lurking in the grass. Drive through open plains and woodlands, tracking the herds and observing predator-prey drama unfold naturally. Have your lunch in the bush, surrounded by grazing herds.
